Fox News contributor - "Fox News Sunday Panelist"
editAt the Fox News Sunday website for today (May 22, 2011) he joins the panel -- he has been a contributor on a stated basis since March this year and he also was a contributor on the New Zealand earthquake destruction from Feb. 2011. He and his wife were travelling in the area on the days of the quake -- http://video.foxnews.com/v/4554819/ Should more in the WIKI article reflect how he is managing his retirement from the U.S. Senate, presumably to "spend more time with his family" Timothyjshaw (talk) 12:49, 22 May 2011 (UTC)timothyjshaw

Barack Obama's possible pick for vice president
editIn the section dealing with this it notes that "According to David Plouffe, it was a "coin toss" between Bayh and Joe Biden for Obama's pick for vice president, with Tim Kaine being a contender before deciding to focus on the DNC chairmanship". While this fits in with media speculation in 2008 which touted Bayh as a highly possible choice to be Barack Obama's running mate, I have been reading President Obama's recent memoir A Promised Land and have been struck by the fact that it seems to counter David Plouffe's comments. Evan Bayh is not mentioned when he discusses his pick for vice president, which he makes clear came down to a choice between Tim Kaine and Joe Biden, with Obama mentioning that one factor was he and Plouffe along with David Axelrod questioned whether voters would accept a ticket of "two relatively young, inexperienced, and liberal civil rights attorneys" [1] Obviously I am not suggesting that we remove what is here, but would it be worth adding that President Obama's most recent account does not suggest Bayh was among the final two candidates considered? - I have added a short sentence in which I think is relevant, but am happy to discuss this further if anybody has concerns. Dunarc (talk) 23:48, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
