Characters section needs expansion
editI have only read the first book of the trilogy but it seems to me that the character list for the article only covers that one book. Koala Tea Of Mercy (KTOM's Articulations & Invigilations) 15:08, 15 March 2016 (UTC)

I have serious concerns whether Mri merit a stand-alone article (due to failing WP:GNG). Recently User:Waxworker prodded that article, and User:Bruce1ee deprodded it adding some potential sources. Unless someone feels like converting the potential sources into a section that establishes notability (which, I note, Bruce has done recently at Alliance–Union_universe#Critical_reception), I'd suggest redirecting Mri here, with no objection to merging everything (even through right now, Bruce sources aside, all we have is pretty much WP:FANCRUFT/WP:ALLPLOT...). John Campbell quote
editThe introduction contains the following sentence: Both the mri and the regul fulfill John W. Campbell's dictum of "show me a creature that thinks as well as a man, or better, but not like a man."
A citation is given for the sentence, but it's from the introduction to a Larry Niven book. It's not clear if that source argues that Cherryh's fictional species meet Campbell's formula or if it is simply a source for the quotation in question. If anyone is able to verify the text of that introduction, that would be appreciated. Handpigdad (talk) 04:39, 23 July 2023 (UTC)
- Ah, the introduction in question is available on google books and it doesn't seem to directly comment on either Campbell's statements or Cherryh's book. I am removing the sentence from the article, as it appears to be original research. Handpigdad (talk) 04:43, 23 July 2023 (UTC)
