Anyone can look at the early Brubeck and Tjader album covers and see that the logo in no way looks like the logo George Salter designed for The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction. Pepso2 (talk) 05:19, 18 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

The same vintage Fantasy Records logo is already pictured in the article as the label of the first album by Creedence Clearwater Revival. Steelbeard1 (talk) 11:21, 18 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yes, but that's from 1968. I spent some time on Google Image in an effort to see what the logo looked like in 1949-50, working on the assumption that the logo might have been changed at some point. The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction logo did change during the years, but it you look on that Wikipedia page, you can see that in 1949-50, the George Salter F&SF logo and the Fantasy Records logo are not alike in any way. This error has been here for at least two years, long enough for this to be an item people in the music industry now believe is true. I just wanted to point all this out instead of making the change. Here's a vintage Dave Brubeck Fantasy 78 found on eBay [1] which may be of assistance. It was recorded in 1950. Steelbeard1 (talk) 16:28, 18 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
That's very sharp and large enough so that it's easy to see it has no resemblance to George Salter's hand-lettered logo. Pepso2 (talk) 17:12, 18 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

First Paragraph

I would suggest adding Bill Evans to the list mentioned in paragraph 1. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Iisaphd (talkcontribs) 20:30, 16 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Creedence

edit

Is there a reason this article doesn't go deeper into how Fantasy abused the Creedence catalogue and Fogerty vs Zaentz? I know there's other articles for that, but with none of it mentioned this article seems a total whitewash. The creedence section literally only has ONE LINE saying Fogerty had issues. That's not representative, especially given a landmark copyright suit. 46.69.56.242 (talk) 11:16, 3 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
