Redirect

edit

User:Surtsicna has tranformed the article into a redirect. Altough I agree that he is a non-important Spanish royal child, I still feel he's a special kind of non-important Spanish royal child, as it is somewhat of a running joke in Spain, the fact that he is fourth in the line of the trone, as he's known to be a very bad student[1], he kicked a cousin in a ceremony (when he was much younger, of course), he looks bored even in the proclamation of his uncle[2], the shooting in his foot incident, etc. As such, I feel he's a bit more notable than, say, his sister. In any case I think it should be discussed before making it a redirect.--Pacostein (talk) 00:44, 25 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Do you believe that his bad grades, misbehaving in childhood and presumed lack of interest for a ceremony make him encyclopedically notable? Surtsicna (talk) 00:48, 25 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
Not if he was the plumber's child, but he's the fourth in line for the throne of Spain and as such, those things are jockingly referenced to in Spain quite often, so I think someone would heard about it and wonder who that Froilán fellow is.--Pacostein (talk) 00:54, 25 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
It sounds like you are arguing that we should have an article about a child only because he is the subject of jokes and/or ridicule. That's not only cruel, but also very much against WP:BLP. If someone does run into such distasteful tabloid articles and wonders "who that Froilán fellow is", Wikipedia will lead her or him to the article about his mother, which will explain that he is the son of a Spanish infanta.
