Driessen/Silakowski external link
editCasey Driessen is notable enough for a Wikipedia article. Instruments made by John Silakowski, mentioned in the referenced Strings Magazine article, are in the hands of some notable musicians. How is pointing an external link at them "promotion of a living person?" (diff) This is an encyclopedia; mentioning notable individuals, living or not, is a big part of what happens here. __ Just plain Bill (talk) 17:39, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
It would make more sense to point to this article: http://www.stringsmagazine.com/article/default.aspx?articleid=21246 - as it is an unbiased, reputable source and gives a beginner insight into what a 5-string looks like. Wikipedia should not be used for promoting certain individuals, and please remember WP:OWN. Gspark220 (talk) 17:49, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
- That article is already linked as a reference. Adding relevant external links to a Wikipedia stub hardly counts as "promotion," in my view. __ Just plain Bill (talk) 18:13, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
