"Tertian ague" is malaria.--Wetman 00:36, 11 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I've made it clear that after 1576 Alençon was Anjou. --Wetman 00:36, 11 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Death date

edit

Sources generally give 10 June rather than 19 June 1584 for the death of Anjou.--Wetman (talk) 13:30, 7 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Writing style in Early Years section

edit

Surely not all the sentences in this section need to be so choppy and start with "In"....followed by date?!! This section should be rewritten.--Jeanne Boleyn (talk) 09:34, 3 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Use of Alençon is not clear.

edit

The opening section explains how Francis became the Duke of Anjou but the section titled "The Duke of Alençon and the Huguenots" is referring to The Duke of Alençon and uses the name Alençon as a person, whom I assume is Francis, but it is not made completely clear at any point in the article why this is appropriate. This is from the perspective of a person who is trying to research the history of the name Alençon as a city name, but also as a region name. Geoffpointer (talk) 01:33, 16 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Exactly. You can read the whole section about Queen Elizabeth and not realise that Anjou and Alençon are one and the same person. It needs clarifying. Valetude (talk) 14:31, 20 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
