Copyediting
editThis article could be a very interesting one but it seems as though it, in whole or in part, was translated from a language other than English. As such, it could use some restructuring/editing from its original language. Editfromwithout (talk) 18:19, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
I've made some small changes but the second paragraph needs copy-editing for clarification. I am afraid that I do not know myself whether the fort of Bard was taken from or by the italian armies.
Question regarding Paragraph six
editI'm afraid that I don't particularly understand the reason why there are a set of french towns parenthesised at the end of paragraph six.
"In 1819, he was reinstated as Inspector General of frontier fortifications (Grenoble, Besançon, Dunkirk, St. Omer, Sedan, the Fort Lock, Belfort, Bitche)."
It would be appreciated if someone with more knowledge specific to the article could do an edit to clarify its meaning.
