Speedy deletion
editThank you for putting this newly created page up for speedy deletion. I created this page (a moment ago) to fill in a couple of redlinks on the LBI and LBI parks and open spaces pages.
- Most speedy deletions occur on newly created articles. If you want to write it completely before posting in the main article namespace, you can do so in a subpage in your user-space. --Pekaje 10:07, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
It is an ambition of WPLondon to document features of London boroughs, this is one such. Why is this notable, it's a farm in an urban context, and is the only one in a boro deficient in green spaces. Kbthompson 09:53, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
- Can you provide some proof of notability? Maybe some reliable news sources in the area have covered it at some point? That would certainly keep it from being speedily deleted. I'm only objecting to the article in its current form, since I saw no claims to notability. For all I knew, this was just one of many such places. --Pekaje 10:07, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
(after edit conflict)
Reading the speedy deletion criteria, I'm trying hard to see why the topic has been marked for speedy deletion. Is it for product or service interests? They don't charge for their service, it's a charity supported by LBI. Kbthompson 10:01, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
- It was only for lack of claims to notability. These things must be asserted (then proved, to avoid AFD). --Pekaje 10:07, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
Your edit summary from adding {{hangon}} is actually all I was looking for. I have added it to the article intro and removed the speedy deletion template. I also tagged it as lacking sources. Since you seem to have a better knowledge of the local area, you will probably have an easier time finding reliable sources for the claims of notability. --Pekaje 10:18, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks! Kbthompson 10:43, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
- You're welcome. However, the article really still needs sources independent of the subject, even if it is just a stub. --Pekaje 17:14, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Photo
editI'm not sure what the photo request is for, exactly- there are already two photos in the article. I've swapped out one of the boundary wall for one of the resident geese, which is perhaps a bit more exciting. If that wasn't right, there are a few photos to choose from on Commons: Freightliners Farm JRennocks (talk) 21:40, 5 July 2021 (UTC)JRennocks
