I'll get to this shortly.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 14:20, 24 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

  • Images properly licensed
  • Be consistent if you want to use the French titles and in which order. I've finally settled on "Board of Construction" as the best translation for Conseil des travaux as the literal translation always reminds me of British works councils and there really wasn't much of a council aspect to it.
    • I went with the more literal translation per Ropp's example: "the Conseil des Travaux de la Marine (literally the Council of Works of the Navy)"
      • Understood. I only changed it in my articles as I didn't want to presume.
        • If you're going to do the Division de maroc, you really need to do the Escadre de la Méditerranée as well. Which is overlinked, BTW.
  • replaced in the unit "relieved of that assignment"?
    • Works for me
  • put lwl in parens in the infobox and add the number of mines
    • Done (and will have to transfer over to the other members of the class
  • Gun shields on the main armament?
    • She had them (as can be seen in the photo), but I haven't found details on them
      • Then just note that they had them via something like "shielded pivot mounts" or somesuch. I really couldn't tell from that photo.
        • Actually, I was looking at the QF guns on the forecastle - you can't really see the sponson guns (and the photo we have of Troude has the main guns all buttoned up) - have clarified the situation with the QF guns though.
  • Any better info on arrangement of the torpedo tubes?
    • No, unfortunately
  • No range figures available?
    • Nothing for these - between a set of questions in an old Warship International for several of the classes of protected cruisers and a few old journal entries, I was able to track down range figures for most of the classes, but the Troudes weren't covered
  • 1889, completed her sea trials in 1890, and was completed in 1891 Proximity alert on completed, perhaps "conducted" instead on the first one? Lotta dates here, might be worthwhile to mix things up a little with "the following year" and maybe even "the year after that". Your call though.
    • Done
  • versions of the same calibers not sure how you're using calibers here. Length, bore diameter, or both. Might be best just to delete the last four words entirely.
    • Deleting works for me
  • Regardless of proper English, I still prefer stricken rather than struck as a proper nautical term. But your call.
    • Yeah, I do too, but I changed over after getting hassled over it ;) (or maybe I saw somebody hassling you, I don't recall exactly)
  • Nicely done.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 16:06, 25 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
