editThe notices at the top of this article have now been there for four years, while the notice concerning merge has been there for a year. Looking at this article and the beta decay article, I think it is sensible to merge this article into that one. This article is rather convoluted, being about as much about Fermi transitions as about Gamow-Teller transitions... So complain now, or forever hold your peas if you object!
