The result of the move request was: moved to Gangwon Province (pre-1910). Participants were unanimously supportive of a move away from the current title, but the original proposal was found to be potentially ambiguous with the present-day Gangwon Province, South Korea. Consequently, "Gangwon Province (pre-1910)" emerged as a consensus option that would most clearly delineate the article scope. Gangwon Province (Korea)Gangwon Province, Korea – The parentheses imply a disambiguation, but there's no other country in the world with a Gangwon Province.

This new title matches the formatting of the descendent split provinces of Gangwon Province, South Korea and Kangwon Province, North Korea. Note that Gangwon Province existed during the Joseon and Korean Empire periods, so Gangwon Province, Joseon wouldn't/shouldn't work. seefooddiet (talk) 05:29, 5 August 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. Waqar💬 08:46, 12 August 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. Safari ScribeEdits! Support the new name is WP:NATURAL, and using ", Korea" encompasses both eras and fits the current short description of "Historical province in Korea". Dantus21 (talk) 05:35, 5 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
