Gary Anderson (cyclist) → Gary John Anderson — Use middle/full names instead of parenthesized disambiguator suffixes. Cybercobra (talk) 03:44, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
- Gary Anderson (Recycling) → Gary Dean Anderson
- Gary Anderson (running back) → Gary Wayne Anderson
- Gary Anderson (offensive lineman) → Gary Allan Anderson
- Gary Anderson (sport shooter) → Gary Lee Anderson

- Oppose per Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(people)#Disambiguating. These Gary Andersons are known as Gary Anderson, so disambiguating them this way is fine. Recury (talk) 20:22, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose. This is not how we normally disambiguate people with the same name and although I think the proposal has some merit I think it needs a much wider discussion on the general issue. A RfC at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (people) would seem the way to take this forward. Dpmuk (talk) 11:49, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:COMMONNAME. Gary Anderson (sport shooter) is the only one with a reference that refers to him throughout as Gary Lee Anderson, the others have none. Tassedethe (talk) 16:22, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
