Chelsea

edit

This article is a little bit biased in favour of Chelsea - is there really any need to list all of Chelseas "valuable" midfielders, or to try and guess Mourinho's reasons for playing Geremi at right back? I dont think so. And, "Geremi has scored four league goals in his bit-part role at Chelsea. Nevertheless, each goal has been dripping in quality." I mean.. come on. This is meant to be an encyclopedia, not an application to marry the guy. Thedreamdied 13:46, 28 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yes, and also the "five wives" issue

edit

I realize that I may be wrong about this but the phrase " Due to his exploits in the national team, his father was allowed to marry as many times as he wanted and consequently he has five wives" ---

does not sound like an appropriate phrasing to my ear. At any case, even if it points at a factual phenomenon (namely that footballers in Cameroon enjoy certain social previlieges unavailable for other people), the stating that

"such and such(...) happenned BECAUSE is at any case, non complete, because some more information is due here regarding the local custom. The sentence as it is, is not suitable for an encyclopedic entry.

Resemblance

edit

This page is a very similar copy of Newcastle United's Player Profile Page of Geremi. Isn't it a plagiarism or a copyright violation? 195.174.171.96 (talk) 06:35, 10 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Vandalism

edit

This page is currently being persistently vandalised, probably by Besiktas fans to say that he is now a Besiktas player, which he isn't. Page possibly needs protecting until end of January tranfer window? Paulzon (talk) 13:36, 13 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Transfer to Turkey

edit

Things are very confusing right now as to what is happening with Geremi, what with him being presented to the Turkish media as a Ankaragucu player and all. However, Newcastle have issued a statement definitively saying that he remains a Newcastle player. Now if they didn't issue a statement, that's one thing. But since they came out with something saying:

"FURTHER to reports in various sections of the media today regarding the transfer of Geremi to Turkish side Ankaraguca, Newcastle United wishes to make it clear that...Geremi remains a Newcastle United player,"

Then I will believe the club to which he is currently contracted. Right now i'm fixing back the article to that effect.

Until full confirmation has been given Geremi should be listed as a Newcastle player. Another source for the Newcastle denial: [1] Danda012 (talk) 12:54, 5 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
