The numbers of German Descent in Colombia are wrong can´t be verifiable, in german sources says Colombia was not a destiny of german inmigration, so please find a source with the real numbers, thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ignn (talkcontribs) 10:35, 5 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

I found verifiable sources and says there are about 9,000 Germans in Colombia(between Germans born and their direct descent) without mention of the total of Colombians with some German Ancestor. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ignn (talkcontribs) 20:15, 5 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Rausch source

edit

I recently reverted the addition of a population estimate from a self-published source, but I now realise that the author is a subject expert. However, I can't find the population estimate in the source. Could the IP editor provide a page reference? Cordless Larry (talk) 22:19, 27 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi, the estimated population is calculated using the 52 million current population in the country, the author only mentions 3% but not the population. So it's just an estimate based on the current population of Colombia. 2800:484:EA80:618D:131:EDF9:A2B4:73E1 (talk) 22:24, 27 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
So where in the book is the 3% figure? Cordless Larry (talk) 22:25, 27 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
From the description that the author of the book makes, the % that she narrates in the book appears. In the same way, this book has been published on many physical and virtual platforms, not only in this editorial. 2800:484:EA80:618D:131:EDF9:A2B4:73E1 (talk) 22:30, 27 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I don't understand your answer. Where in the book will I find that 3% figure? Cordless Larry (talk) 22:35, 27 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
According to the book description I've found online, Germans "have never made up more than 3% of Colombia's population". That's not the same as saying that they're currently 3% of the population and doesn't justify the population calculation you've made. Cordless Larry (talk) 22:41, 27 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
