German immigration to Mexico → German Mexican — This article is primarily about Germans in Mexico and not the immigration. I think we should name it like similiar articles German Brazilian, German Argentine, German Chilean etc. Alphasinus (talk) 21:02, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose this is not about Mexicans in Germany. 65.94.45.160 (talk) 03:33, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose Neologism. We do not name articles by analogy but by evidence in reliable sources. General consensus opposes the use of such "double-barreled" neologisms except where they represent clearly predominant usage, e.g. Talk:Russians in China#Requested move, Talk:Chinese people in Burma#Requested move, Talk:Italians in Germany#Page move. There is no evidence that Mexicans of Xyz immigrant background are generally referred to as "Xyzian Mexicans", for any value of Foo. Besides, many more articles about German migrant groups do not follow this "German-Xyzian" convention, e.g. Germans in Kyrgyzstan, Germans of Kazakhstan, Germans in Korea, Germans in Paraguay, etc. cab (call) 08:09, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
