Article redone

I just uploaded a new version of this article. I trust it will be a little bit more informative than the last version. However, I am still in need for some native speakers to look over it again, since I do have slight problems with spelling and grammar.Winnie-MD 11:17, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

Well, it looks really like done by a German Beamter. Delete all the Dienstgrad and that stuff or put it at last to the end, already you've forgotten the Schmutzzulage. The rest of the world is not interested in this, show more the efficiency of the THW. Gerhard51 21:07, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

I've tried to simplify the complicated details of the article by adding more external links and going into more detail as to how the German BOS system is set up specifically in regards to the radios and pagers we use. Alerting the Fire Brigade

Berufsfeuerwehr is alarmed about speakers in the alert one. what points her here is alarmierung for voluntary feuerwehr this unsigned post was submitted by User:Daysleeper47

The point is as follows: Berufsfeuerwehr is, as stated in the article, vastly outnumbered by voluntary forces, especially in rural areas. Whereas in cities the voluntary forces often are merely a backup, they usually are the only ones on scene in rural areas. Hence the significance of how they are alerted.Winnie-MD 15:59, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Tactical units

From my experience in northern Germany, the numbers are all wrong. I've never heard of a Zugtrupp, and Gruppe certainly did not contain them (but Trupps). Anybody has a source? --91.10.40.1 (talk) 19:35, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

Dutch media report that the German firefighters have special tanks (panzer) equipped to fight fires in Brandenburg because of ammunition in those forests that can explode. If true, that seems noteworthy to mention in the vehicle overview? effeietsanders 20:07, 24 August 2018 (UTC)
