Is this article about SOFA or general cooperation between militaries in Ghana and the US
editBased on the content of the article (with the exception of the first section), this article seems to be about the controversial 2018 SOFA proposal. However, the title and aforementioned first section seem to suggest a more general topic. Given that Ghana-US relations exists, I would propose that this article be exclusively about the 2018 agreement.Rosguill (talk) 21:54, 17 July 2018 (UTC)

The request to rename this article to Ghana–United States Status of Forces Agreement has been carried out. |
Ghana US Military Agreement → Ghana–United States Status of Forces Agreement – Article is about a specific military treaty that generated controversy in Ghana, not about general cooperation between US and Ghana and should thus mirror the name of the controversial treaty in question. - Neutral, but shouldn't it be "Ghana–United States"? We don't typically abbreviate "United States" in titles (unless the official name of a thing has "U.S." instead of "United States"), and instead of a hyphen (-) this en-dash (–) would be the correct type of dash to use, like in "Ghana–United States relations". - I'll take that as a non-hostile amendment. I support your wording decision and edited the request accordingly. Rosguill (talk) 04:21, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks! Just trying to be consistent with other pages and with Wikipedia's guidelines. No matter what occurs with this move, the title should presumably at least be changed to have "Ghana–United States" for consistency with other pages. Paintspot Infez (talk) 23:24, 19 July 2018 (UTC)

- Support – the current title is a non-standard mess. The proposed title is a vast improvement on that! Suggest that Ghana–United States Military Agreement be created as a redirect, as well. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 16:09, 20 July 2018 (UTC)
- Given no negative responses in 6 days, I have gone ahead and performed the move, as well as adding a redirect as per IJBall's suggestion Rosguill (talk) 17:53, 23 July 2018 (UTC)
