"Along eastern Australia two very old, mountainous, sometimes undulating and occasionally tableland landscapes are found; the Great Dividing Range and the Great Escarpment. Collectively, these features have been described as the great eastern ranges. They extend from southern Victoria to north of Cairns in Queensland."

The above was at the beginning of the original artice but was deleted. I've placed it here because it explains what the great eastern ranges are, so some of it may be useful in the future. --AussieLegend (talk) 22:41, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

Fair enough. :) I was thinking of putting it back, once we have a section for it, but you're right that it is best kept here. Perhaps we might need two articles: the Great Eastern Ranges and the Great Eastern Ranges Initiative? - Bilby (talk) 22:47, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

I was beginning to wonder that myself, or at least have the initiative as a section within the article. I am intrigued as I have not come across the terminology of the Great Eastern Ranges before...Casliber (talk · contribs) 00:49, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

I think it would make more sense to make the initiative a section within the article. Clearly that deleted text is going yo come in handy because it appears none of us have heard of the great eastern ranges. --AussieLegend (talk) 01:09, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
