- Wikilink pigs, dogs, ferrets and stoats.
- "other factors" looks very vague. I'd expand on this.
- Wikilink Nelson.
- "A few small populations live on islands." You don't strictly mean populations. Perhaps "A small percentage live ..." or "A minority live ..."
- Description
- "The bodies are pear-shaped, with small heads and necks, along with long slender bills." There's a word missing from here.
- "The eyes are small and do not see well." Why don't they see well? Is this why they're nocturnal?
- "They can live up to fifteen years." Possibly live for up to?
- Distribution
- "Once, Greater Spotted Kiwis lived across New Zealand, but are now restricted to the South Island." What happened for them to be limited to the South Island.
- "Great Spotted Kiwis reside in burrows that they make. These burrows are complex, sometimes like a maze, with more than one entrance and exit.[14] Up to fifty burrows can exist in one bird's territory." Three short sentences in succession. Possibly try to re-word.
- Why isn't forest wikilinked?
- Diet
- A lot of short sentences. I would suggest having a look to see how best to re-write this and improve the sentence flow.
- Reproduction
- "To relieve the pain, females soak themselves in puddles." This sounds interesting. How do they do it? Do they purposefully lay the egg near water?
- General
- Numbers and their units should be split by a non-breaking space, e.g. 45 years.
- Are there any more images.
- Not done I've looked around, and don't see any free images, but I'm bad with images, so I could be missing some. Shrewpelt (talk) 19:41, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Great work and a nice read. If you were to take this article further, I would suggest getting a peer review before heading towards FAC. Although it's probably not essential, some more images would work well too. All the best with work on this article. Peanut4 (talk) 19:58, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
