Opening section

I have modified the opening section to make clear that Diane Abbott was elected as a Labour MP and remained as such until she had the party whip suspended in 2023. As it stood I felt like it could be misinterpreted from it that she had always been an Independent politician. Dunarc (talk) 22:47, 23 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
