Talk:Heer Halewijn

I removed the following from "Context": The name Halewijn or Halewyn compares to the day of Halloween, the day the boundaries between the physical and the spirit world fade. This may suggest that Halewijn was a pagan spirit rather than a human.

That makes no sense whatsoever: Halloween is short for "All Hallow Evening", which in Dutch is completely different ("Allerheiligen") and certainly does not abbreviate to "Halewijn". Biot (talk) 16:18, 18 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Or maybe it does: See https://denkwijs.wordpress.com/tag/halewijn/, it's not impossible that the current etymology of Halloween may be wrong. --3liot (talk) 15:15, 14 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Could somebody fit this possible mention of Halewijn to the summary regarding the dating? --3liot (talk) 15:44, 14 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
