England started the new year on March 25th, and would continue to do so until the middle of the 18th century. In actuality his date of death should be in 1546. The figures in the article reflect the sources it cites.
No, let's not "get over it". While I agree that many historical data shouldn't be silently converted to modern conventions, without adequate explanation the change would confuse much more than it would inform. It's a largely vacant distinction for the purposes of a general encyclopedia article.

Henry reigned from the death of his father in 1509. This is correctly stated in the article but in the side bar to the right one of the dates says 1505 not 1509. 27.252.206.119 (talk) 03:28, 22 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

I am concerned that this article no longer meets the good article criteria, due to uncited text in the article including most of "Succession" and the entire "Style and arms" section. Also, at over 11,000 words, I think this article is WP:TOOBIG and some of the prose can be spun out or removed as too much detail.
