Birthplace and nationality
editAny sources I've ever seen on Dainty state that he was English and born in Northamptonshire (usually Geddington). Examples include here [1], here [2] and here [3]. The assertion that he was a native of Hamilton in Scotland was made on here by unnamed IP whose only contributions were to this article; they claimed to be a relative of Dainty but obviously that doesn't cut it as a reliable source. As the only other places I could find this were on Wikipedia mirror sites I've reverted back to the verifiable "facts". Jellyman (talk) 21:59, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

Dundee United
editI have changed "After leaving Dundee United..." to "After leaving Dundee Hibernian..." as the name Dundee United was not in use until 1923, so the club were never called that during Bert Dainty's association with them. Dunarc (talk) 20:56, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
