Dolls around the world
editDidn't Hess gas stations have a promotion in the late 1950's early 1960's that you could get a Doll dressed in different dresses from around the world in a box if you filled up your tank? Is there somewhere I could find out more about this?174.126.92.39 (talk) 18:05, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. The request was not specific enough. You may consider leaving your comments on the Talk page or escalating significant issues to the conflict of interest noticeboard. |
I work for Hess Corporation and this information is out of date. Hess Corporation is no longer an integrated E&P company, nor does it operate Hess Express gas stations. Current company information can be found at www.hess.com.
- I sympathize with frustrations over the errors, but we need a very specific requested edit. Please identify the exact text of the article that is erronious, propose a corrected replacement and offer a specific source (preferable a credible, independent one) to support the corrected text. Hess Corporation → Speedway Corporation – I am requesting this move after noticing ever Hess gas station get renamed to Speedway corporation. I will not move the page without a discussion, though. There are news articles that state Speedway brought out all the Hess gas stations and renamed them."Hess is out. Speedway is in". Suffolk times."Hess stations converting as Speedway signs go up on Long Island". New York Newsday. VegasCasinoKid (talk) 09:38, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose. Yes, Hess sold all their gas stations last year to what is now Speedway LLC.[1] However, Hess still remains a separate company that now mainly deals with oil exploration and production[2] (and this is stated a few times in this article). And Hess still has a division that produces toy trucks. Zzyzx11 (talk) 10:26, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
- Lucky I didn't actually move the article. When I saw every gas station get renamed to "Speedway" I was under the impression the Speedway and Hess were merging, but it seems that Hess will be working behind the scenes now. VegasCasinoKid (talk) 06:13, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
- Strong oppose per [3] the company still exists. Just because the retail gas stations were sold does not mean the company ceased to exist or renamed itself. Rather you should start a new article on the new retail entity "Speedway" that became of the retail gas arm of Hess. -- 65.94.43.89 (talk) 20:49, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
- The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
