Nowadays, home visit permit for minors under 18, not 12, are valid for three years. Please check the website of China travel Service before editing!!

And the official name for ID-card permits is 港澳居民来往内地通行证.

'Issues facing British passport holders'

The government of the People's Republic of China (PRC) does not recognise the British citizenship of Hongkongers obtained through the British Nationality Selection Scheme (BNSS). However, British Citizen passports issued to those obtained British citizenshp through the BNSS do not carry any endorsement stating the way the holder obtaining his or her British citizenship, so the government of the PRC cannot know whether the British Citizen acquired his or her citizenship through the BNSS unless it was told by him or her.

Splitting proposal

I propose that we split the parts about the card called "Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents (Non-Chinese Nationals)", announced on July 1st, into a different article since it's a similar but fundamentally different travel document and this page is going to become too complex if it addresses both cards. Oppose on the ground of WP:OVERLAP and a standalone article would require[] the background material or context from a broader article in order for readers to understand it. Northern Moonlight 03:32, 13 July 2024 (UTC)

Although related, they are fundamentally different documents with different requirements and history. Much like the British Passport and British National (Overseas) Passport have different articles, I feel this should. UKWikiGuy (talk) 09:27, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
