Need Some Articles
editI added engine specs and a brief history note to the page. I'd like to add suspension and chassis specs, but most of this likely only appears in old magazines. Can someone help me with that? I ditched all my old magazines in a couple of moves. I also changed a line in the intro to sound less opinionated, and to better help show the significance of the quad to the industry, although I'm sure a reference is preferred over my own experiences. Copyright/Formatting help
editI need help with two things: adding proper copyright tags to the images I've uploaded, and adding a reference list I can link to. Help! I don't have the attention span to read endless text in Wikipedia! RustyATV
Fair use rationale for Image:250R AD1 small.jpg
editImage:250R AD1 small.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

250R fan ...
editBig fan of the fourtrax, I would like to see this page with more info, images etc ... I tried adding some images of my own but got an error message telling me that only the owners of the page could add images (something like that). Can someone help?? Luvofgti22 (talk) 14:16, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
It'd be best to avoid posting a picture of your personal quad, as that really doesn't do anything to illustrate the 250R's history, and likely could spark a fight as people try to show of all of their quads. I have pictures of one of each year R, in totally original condition I will post shortly under each of the model years. I would also like to try to re-post the 1988 ad I had up, and see if I can improve on the terms of use. Beyond that, the only pictures I might post would be Bill Ballance's 2003 race quad, as I believe that's the last two stroke based 250R to make a national pro class win
Good work on the table format, by the way.RustyATV (talk) 23:38, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
References
editI would like to clean up the references section ... I can't do it right away, but I'll get to it soon. The reason I bring this up is that I see only one reference in the article and I would like to follow the Wikipedia style guideline by correctly citing everything ... Just a heads up, and plea if anyone wants to help out ... Luvofgti22 (talk) 14:44, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
Go for it. There are actually a number of references, mostly in the "Rise of the Aftermarket" section, but ADD kept me from sifting through Wikipedia's stupid amounts of text to figure out how to do it right, with the links and all. I have all the magazines that are cited, so if you need some info, let me know. RustyATV (talk) 01:03, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
Removal of "Advanced" from intro
editI saw "Advanced" was removed from the intro as a description of the Four Stroke machines (Advanced four stroke sport ATV's) and added it back to promote discussion. I really think this should stay because four stroke sport quads were available all the while the 250R reigned, some even with the 250R's geometry (400EX). However it was specifically the new generation of four strokes, able to match the two stroke's power, that put the 250R out of business. Actually, two strokes in general have been pushed aside. This is a significant moment in the 250R's history and should be highlighted.
