The picture of a beef burger doesn't seem like it applies to the topic — Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.119.30.28 (talk) 17:00, 3 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Exuse me my english is not very good bu i have a question  : why is there not a own Exuse me my english is not very good bu i have a question  : why is there no own article( text ) about the about the Chickenburger  Avestaboy (talk) 18:37, 11 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi @Avestaboy: I think you're asking why the topic "chickenburger" does not have its own article. That is, why there is no stand-alone article "chickenburger", and only a section in the article "chicken sandwich"? The reason is that Wikipedia editors have agreed that there is not enough information about the topic "chickenburger" to create an article that Such an article would be too short. A relevant guideline is WP:MERGEREASON. Ibadibam (talk) 00:35, 1 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Infobox inconsistencies

edit

The infobox is titled "Chicken Burger", yet includes a labelled image of a chicken salad sandwich, and includes "cold, as in submarine sandwiches" as a note on Serving temperature. If the box is intended to describe the general concept of a chicken sandwich, it should be retitled to "Chicken sandwich" and the Place of origin should be removed (as unlike the chicken burger, it's dubious that origins of the dish can be traced to the United States). If it intended to describe specifically chicken burgers, both the image and the Serving temperature should be updated to retain focus on the specific variety of chicken sandwich. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rujames (talkcontribs) 17:58, 17 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

That's because this page was originally created to cover chicken burgers and later re-scoped to cover every type of chicken sandwich. Apparently not everything got cleaned up! Ibadibam (talk) 02:56, 18 May 2021 (UTC) I take it back, it was just vandalism, which I've now cleaned up. Ibadibam (talk) 02:58, 18 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
The article is still a bit of a mess because 'chicken sandwich' means different things in different places, and several different articles have been merged. The text does try to explain the differences but isn't very satisfactory. There are exceptions, but in the USA a chicken sandwich is usually a hot chicken patty in a burger bun served in a fast food restaurant, while elsewhere it's (usually cold) slices of roast chicken breast served in buttered bread slices or a baguette. --Ef80 (talk) 15:52, 14 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
