Moved Christina Aguilera to hispanic north american list, along with deleting a duplicate entry for Nelly Furtado. Christina's heritiage is well documented on her own wikipedia page, as well as the White Hispanic and Latino Americans page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 167.104.7.3 (talk) 13:47, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
Does anybody knows how much time Shakira and Alejandro Sanz's "La tortura" spend at #1 on this chart?? I wanna know the non-consecutive weeks
Answer: 25 weeks, non-consecutive. Check the number-one singles of 2005. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jaespinoza (talk • contribs) 01:49, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Latin Songs or Top Latin Songs
editSorry, I don't know who moved the right title to the wrong one again, because the correct title of the chart is LATIN SONGS or TOP LATIN SONGS but NOT Hot Latin Songs. --El Mexicano (talk) 17:32, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
Hot Latin chart methodology changed
editNote that the week of October 20, 2012 has the methodology for compiling the chart has changed: [1] This info should be added to the article. - eo (talk) 16:27, 11 October 2012 (UTC)
- So digital downloads and streaming music will be factored as well, is that correct? Erick (talk) 17:00, 11 October 2012 (UTC)
- Yes. The same changes were made to the country, R&B and rock charts too. Airplay, sales/downloads, streaming. - eo (talk) 10:56, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
#1 Debuts
editLet's get something straight here...
Rocío Dúrcal appeared at #1 on the first Hot Latin Songs chart (in fact, this was even a test chart). Just because a song appears at #1 on the inaugural chart, DOESN'T mean that it debuted at that position. Had the chart existed prior to September, you will clearly see that it ranked somewhere on the list. On the Hot 100, Ricky Nelson's "Poor Little Fool" was the first #1, but it took 35 years for a song to finally debut at that position.
To furthur prove my point, here is a list of all the #1 debuts prior to 2012: http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/472431/mana-manages-no-1-debut-on-latin-songs — Preceding unsigned comment added by WolfSpear (talk • contribs) 22:07, 14 September 2013 (UTC)
Songs with most weeks at number-one
editAs it stands now, the songs with most weeks at number-one list has grown too big. I will limit it to only 10 songs.187.160.241.2 (talk) 17:08, 27 September 2016 (UTC)
- Songs that have reached at least 15 weeks #1 are acceptable per this Billboard article. Erick (talk) 15:09, 6 February 2017 (UTC)
Artist with the most number-one hits
editThe artists with the same number of number-one singles, must occupy the same position.--181.27.155.119 (talk) 02:54, 27 January 2017 (UTC)
