"House" of Borghese!

edit

"House of Borghese" indeed. ...House of Borghese sounds to me like the leather and fake fur salon at a less-than-quite stylish suburban mall. "Borghese" would be more direct, though it wouldn't express the Wikipedian idea of what's grand-sounding. Adding "family" is unnecessary: the article Savelli was retitled Savelli family by some confident American editor whom I supposed was imperfectly familiar with reading or talking about "the Savelli" or "the Borghese". --Wetman (talk) 01:16, 10 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

House of BorgheseBorghese – No need for disambiguation, see comment above, this is a redirect. Gryffindor (talk) 23:25, 18 January 2021 (UTC) Relisting. Jack Frost (talk) 07:10, 6 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

A little taken aback by my former harshness, but the post wouldn't have been funny if it weren't pretty well true. Wetman (talk) 19:34, 19 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Regarding the Requested Move (above) I’m unclear whether the issue is too much precision, or too much pretension. If the former, can I suggest that, as the majority of other, similar pages (see categories of British, French, (majorities) and even German and Italian (about two-thirds) noble families, to consider just the largest) seem to be disambiguated in some way, moving to a simple undisambiguated form needs to be a bigger discussion somewhere: Wikipedia:WikiProject Royalty and Nobility, for example, or Wikipedia:WikiProject Disambiguation.
Contrariwise, if it is the latter, a move to "Borghese family" would be sufficient, and (as I think we are all OK with that, at least) it could be done as an uncontroversial move (closing the one above). Thoughts? Moonraker12 (talk) 10:17, 8 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
