Fair use rationale for Image:Hulk Ep 16.jpg

edit

Image:Hulk Ep 16.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The Avengers film and potential Sequel(s)

edit

Sorry for my undoing of other edits, I was in the process of adding references, before my edits were undone. I'm adding in the ref. seen on The Incredible Hulk (film) and The Avengers (2011 film) and The Avengers (film series) articles.--Snowman Guy (talk) 14:11, 17 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks — I appreciate the discussion. Some of the material in the paragraph that was added, specifically the 2011 projected date for the Avengers movie, repeated what was already said in this section's first paragraph. Also, the information about announced films starring Thor, Ant-Man, etc. is not Hulk-specific, but belongs, if anywhere, in the Avengers article. Do you see what I mean? --Tenebrae (talk) 14:18, 17 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I see. Well, how about something like this:
"Also, Marvel has regained the rights to the other heroes in the Avengers"

Thoughts?--Snowman Guy (talk) 14:22, 17 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Not sure what "regained" means? Had Marvel lost the rights? Had character licenses expired and reverted to Marvel? Not sure this is relevant as to specifically the Hulk. --Tenebrae (talk) 14:24, 17 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
Also, I've just 'ported over a cite for one of your edits, from the Incredible Hulk (film). We still need a cite there and here to confirm Nelson did sign on for a sequel. --Tenebrae (talk) 14:29, 17 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Just throwing it in there that Norton has been confirmed to be coming back for the Avengers movie, which was confirmed over at superherohype.com. Somebody should add that into the article. Son of Kong (talk) 10 September 2008

Bruce Banner in Iron Man 3

edit

I think this is a case where we can apply WP:COMMONSENSE and say that, despite the article title containing only "Hulk" and not "Bruce Banner", appearances of his alter-ego definitely fit under the scope. And readers will almost certainly come here looking for them. Just as the main article is about both Hulk and Bruce Banner, this article is about appearances of both in other media. Cheers. -Fandraltastic (talk) 19:27, 25 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Oppose: Not only is Banner not in the title, he's not in the lead or infobox as well. Maybe if it was more than just a cameo appearance, then possibly it could be listed, but it's not. --Musdan77 (talk) 23:22, 25 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
Banner should be in the lead though, and he should be in the infobox. An incomplete lead and infobox don't mean the rest of the page's content should be incomplete and needlessly exclusionary. I honestly don't understand what there is to oppose here? They're the same character. Hulk is the WP:COMMONNAME. "Hulk and Bruce Banner in other media" would be a clunky article title. But appearances by Banner are clearly under the scope here. -Fandraltastic (talk) 23:37, 25 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Support. The lead sentence could be changed (changes in bold) to read: "The comic book character The Hulk and his alter ego Bruce Banner have also appeared in many other types of media." After all, Bruce Banner redirects to Hulk (comics) anyway. As long as the Banner appearances are limited to where he doesn't also appear as The Hulk (such as Iron Man 3), I don't see any problem with it. Fortdj33 (talk) 12:28, 26 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Daredevil Netflix Series

edit

Would it be worth mentioning that a framed newspaper clipping showing an image of the Hulk with the headline 'Hulk emerges victorious in destructive uptown battle' appears in Ben Urich's office throughout season 1 of Netflix's Daredevil show? The Editor 155 (talk) 00:38, 9 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Nope. That's trivia. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 20:53, 9 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

A parody the hulk in one of the barnyard episodes.

edit

In one of the Barnyard episodes by nick a dr. Pig segment Pig drinks a can of atomic waste, to prove his point that “it will give you heat vision is a myth”. Only for him to be turned into a pig version of the character complete with big, cartoony, muscles, green skin, and purple shorts which causes him to act and talk like him hilarious and I believe at the end of the same episode the rest of the crew gets turned into hulk like animals too.
