editThere are a ton of links on this page and most of them go straight back here. Any reason why these are still links?
tim hutton
editI fixed the link for tim hutton that was pointing to the actor Timothy Hutton not Tim Hutton the bass player. Tim needs a page now tho. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.140.1.30 (talk) 17:25, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
linkin park is horrible but..
editcan anyone verify these threats of legal action from a brilliant Orchestral band to a horrible sad metal/hardcore/rapcore band? I'venever heard anything of it till wiki.. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.217.22.113 (talk) 16:53, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
- I would like to see some sources on that too.. I removed it from the page until something comes up.. Aktsu (talk) 17:13, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
Ultimatum Solved
editIts from a CD called Scores - Only given to advertise. I guess we'll never get our hands on it, though Ebay may one day.. Thats why there's an article on it in wikipedia.
Ultimatum
editCan anyone tell the world more about the mysterious Hybrid track that has turned up around the place? It is used in adverts and has turned up as backing music in various car related stuff.
Rumour has it the track is called Mr Smith/Ultimatum but it is unclear as to how to purchase it... 81.96.206.228 18:30, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
Label
editThe main article says Hybrid is signed to Kinetic...Is this true? If so, then thats a pretty major happening worth explanation, considering theyve been with Distinctive for over 6 years!
- Kinetic released Wide Angle in the US: from Distinctive's Hybrid bio "Subsequently from the release [Wide Angle] in the US on Warner's Kinetic Records," and they're named on this Amazon.com listing. RAAPB onwards are on Amazon as Distinct'ive or Distinct'ive breaks so I guess that's all Kinetic did. I'll change the infobox. Rup 18:21, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
Songs remixed by Hybrid
editThe new list of songs is somewhat long and unsightly. I believe it would be best listed in a separate page, as per the tag I've added. Any comments/suggestions?
- I've been contemplating what to do about this myself for a few days. I honestly feel that this information is not needed here on Wikipedia and may be against policy. I haven't looked into it that deep as I have been extremely busy. Wikipedia isn't a dumping ground, and this information is readily available on fan websites, and the one that comes to mind is actually listed in the article. In fact, that site's list is about as complete as it can be and contains all the information being put here and a lot more. So I feel it's not necessary to duplicate that website's information here. If someone wants a complete list of Hybrid remixes all they need to do is check the external links. When I find time I'll look into the Wikipedia guidelines a little more, and it may be that all of this information will likely be removed. --MattWatt 00:34, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
Please dont remove the list if not necessary. I stumbled on this band recently and Im slowly buying up all that I can identify of them (just as I did with Kraftwerk in the eighties). The easiest place to find a comprehensive list of their work is here. This makes the music hunt much easier than it was in 1986. -- Andmark 03:13, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Lee Mullin
editWhat happened to Lee Mullin? His name was removed from the official Hybrid website and he seems to have disappeared. No website, no new songs/remixes, nothing. Surely the guy is still alive... Why did he leave Hybrid? We can all pretend he was just a sidekick that helped with the first album, but I seriously doubt the plan was for him to leave all along. So, what happened, did the guys have some kind of disagreement, musical or otherwise? Did something happen to him? --82.170.113.123 (talk) 12:10, 10 October 2012 (UTC)
- Hah, Mr. Alexander from Hope Management Ltd c/o Red Light Management (leon at hopemanagement.co.uk) just (10 Oct 2012 13:14:25 +0100) mailed me back that "he's a teacher now". --82.170.113.123 (talk) 21:34, 10 October 2012 (UTC)
Video Games - Saints Row
editNot sure where to source the info from, but several Hybrid songs were in Saints Row the Third. 71.10.151.186 (talk) 00:28, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
- If you don't know "where to source the info from" this means you either did original research (you think you recognized a song) or you got your information from a non-reliable source (e.g. a friend told you). Neither this overview nor this mentions "Hybrid". --82.136.210.153 (talk) 16:21, 12 February 2015 (UTC)

Charlotte Truman
editThe Kill City music website and the recent "Behind the Scenes" video confirm Charlotte James as Charlotte Truman. Should there be an update to the article changing her name?
Sources:
Lazz R (talk) 10:21, 7 May 2017 (UTC)
- Hybridscores.com has been updated and that says "Charlotte James". I think it is James as artist name and Truman for movie work, writer credits etc. .. so whichever the prefered one of those is for wikipedia

Requested move 5 July 2018

Hybrid (Welsh band) → Hybrid (British band) – I'd like to argue that the country here is considered to be the United Kingdom, as that is the country that Wales is part of, so the nationality should be British, not Welsh or English. However, regardless of this, only one founding member of the "Welsh" band remains and they are no longer based in the country. Their updated websites and sources list them as a British band, so renaming the article to this would be more accurate as it also encompasses both Wales and England. Lazz_R 21:15, 5 July 2018 (UTC)
- Support move. Though the "Welsh is not a nationality" argument is doomed to failure, the fact remains that the band is no longer based in Wales. ONR (talk) 22:39, 6 July 2018 (UTC)
- Support. We're not locked in to always privileging "British" over "Welsh" for all Welsh people and things — even though describing something from Wales as British obviously isn't wrong, there are still important reasons why it's better for us to try to be more specific, by preferencing "Scottish", "Welsh", "English" or "from Northern Ireland" over the generic "British" whenever possible. But the fact that this band is currently based in Worcestershire, and thus could be reasonably described as being both "Welsh" and "English" at the same time, forces our hand in this particular instance. Bearcat (talk) 18:44, 7 July 2018 (UTC)
- Support. Given the band are now based in England but have Welsh roots it seems "British" is the best summary. ClareTheSharer (talk) 20:32, 7 July 2018 (UTC)
- The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
