Track times

On early LP releases of this album, the tracks on side 2 were incorrectly separated into bands, such that "The Actor" was split into two bands while "The Word" and "Om" occupied one band, with corresponding incorrect times being listed for the three pieces. I think that error is partially being perpetuated here, with the times for "The Word" and "Om" being given as 1:36 and 6:27, when the 1997 CD reissue shows them as 0:48 and 5:44. Richard K. Oboe

Which tracks have Ray Thomas playing oboe? I've listened to the album and I can barely detect the oboe, let alone hear it.

audio cassette version

I have the audio cassette of Moody Blues' "In Search of the Lost Chord" and it has Side One starting with "Voices in the Sky" and Side Two starting with "Departure". This appears to be the opposite of what is listed here for the LP and CD versions. Yes this does seem rather odd for a cassette. As an aside, eight-track tapes were notorious for mixing up track sequences in order to make the songs "fit" onto the four tracks. Umbilical cord?

It has always struck me that the cover art, by Phil Travers, features a visual pun on the word "chord". But I am unable to find a source for this observation. I'm also unable to see any comparable connection between the word "Search" and the skull. Martinevans123 (talk) 09:17, 18 October 2019 (UTC)
