Subject
editWhat is this article about? It looks like a coatrack for various incidents related to UN observers that have little to do with the particular date. -- Nudve (talk) 09:13, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
The date is the memorial date of "all" UN fatalities. So yes, the date is a "coat rack" as the UN intended.Ashley kennedy3 (talk) 16:50, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
- Alright. Considering the poor shape of History of United Nations peacekeeping missions, I guess this article is needed. Cheers. -- Nudve (talk) 17:22, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
I know, I've seen History of United Nations peacekeeping missions. I'm starting with UNTSO first.Ashley kennedy3 (talk) 21:01, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
Revisions
editThis article should be about the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers. It is not a list of peacekeepers killed or wounded. It is not a history of United Nations Peacekeeping. It is not a collection of anecdotes about un peacekeeping. I removed most of the article, which fell under the latter 3 categories, and replaced it with a description of the history and purpose of the IDUNP. That information removed would be very valuable in the right context and should find it's way to the appropriate articles if it is not already there. -- Jieagles (talk) 23:33, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
