Article move

edit

There is already an article at Invictus Games, but that may have to be moved if this becomes a primary topic. Paul MacDermott (talk) 17:15, 6 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

The result of the move request was: moved. Dab page moved to Invictus Games (disambiguation) and deleted. Jenks24 (talk) 14:16, 6 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Invictus Games (multi-sport event)Invictus GamesInvictus Games is currently a disambiguation page, but only with two articles, so unnecessary. Invictus Games, as an international event promoted by Prince Harry and Michelle Obama, is the primary topic instead of the Hungarian company, which may not grow out of stub status. – МандичкаYO 😜 00:02, 29 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

A G6 move for this was declined in the past, so probably best this gets a full discussion just in case. Jenks24 (talk) 05:27, 29 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

2017 Invictus Games

edit

I've started User:Zanimum/2017 Invictus Games, and I'll be soon moving it into the mainspace. Until then, everyone's welcome to edit there. -- Zanimum (talk) 19:42, 4 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

To be honest they should all have their own articles, like the Summer Olympics and Paralympics, and other regular sporting events. This is Paul (talk) 22:29, 10 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

No link to the French article

edit

The French article fr:Jeux Invictus links to the old page Invictus Games (multi-sport event) which redirect to the Invictus Games page. It works but on the new Invictus Games page, there no link to the French version of the article (fr:Jeux Invictus). So, I can't go back to the French Wikipedia. An error occurred when I tried to add link to fr:Jeux Invictus because the French page already links to Invictus Games (multi-sport event). Could anyone fix this and add links to French German and Hebrew versions of Invictus Games article ? Groulix59 (talk) 20:23, 10 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

There's a link to the Portuguese article from this one. I have a feeling a bot takes care of these kinds of things, but am not completely sure. You could try asking at WP:HELPDESK, where someone should know whether that is correct, and if not, how to fix the problem. This is Paul (talk) 22:27, 10 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Is it my ancient browser, or is there actually a problem with the Commons category template?

edit

When I view the External links section, the Commons category template is shown without a border, as if it was next to an apostrophe (bullet; see below), but there is no apostrophe, nor can I find any other cause.

I admit: I am using a five year old browser, so that may be the problem. However, I am not seeing this in any other articles. Can someone diagnose the problem? —DocWatson42 (talk) 06:22, 29 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

DocWatson42: Putting {{commons category}} after colon (:) for indentation, asterisk (*) for bullet, or pound (#) for number results in a lint error of type multiline table in list. It is not your browser. It won't work properly. The choices are to remove the asterisk or change to {{commons category-inline}}. I did the latter and it's fine now. —Anomalocaris (talk) 01:00, 11 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Anomalocaris: I don't understand the change you made to fix the problem, but I thank you for doing so. ^_^ —DocWatson42 (talk) 04:25, 11 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
DocWatson42: To clarify, I made that change here, in this section of this talk page, not at Invictus Games. Does that help? —Anomalocaris (talk) 05:40, 11 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
I know about the extra character problem you describe immediately above; I induced it to demonstrate the problem. My initial request refers to the article itself, where the problem seems to be fixed, so I'm puzzled as to what change(s) there corrected the problem. Gotta go—the library's about to close. —DocWatson42 (talk) 05:57, 11 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Stop removing Prince Harry Our Founder

edit

Stop posting fabricated origin story. Prince Harry is the founder and patron. He organized and hosted all the games so far. Plenty of information on this online, including the Invictus Games website. Stop trolling. InvictusGames (talk) 22:31, 6 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

This article reads like an advertisement for this event rather than an objective encyclopedic article. 118.136.80.60 (talk) 08:18, 17 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Investigate financial mismanagement

edit

Please investigate as Meghan and Harry are using public funds to finance themselves. This is fraud. I’ve also written to the Home Office and lodged a formal complaint GlendaMellet (talk) 19:27, 17 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
