I edited this article a couple years ago (July 2021) to eliminate the claim that Irene Sharaff is of Armenian descent. There is no citation or evidence for this claim and I know from family genealogy (my mother's family are Sharafs who were Lithuanian Jewish emigrants to New England) it is not true. I did not add the Lithuanian-Jewish ethnicity because so far my only evidence is genealogy/Ancestry. Also, I know of no evidence that Sharaff worked on The Picture of Dorian Gray (1945). I am an authority on Albert Lewin, its director (wrote Botticelli in Hollywood: The Films of Albert Lewin, the only monograph on him) and have worked with his papers. She was associated with MGM early in her career, so if there is evidence she worked on this film, a source should be provided. And can the editor who believes Sharaff to be of Armenian descent please provide a credible source? SFelleman (talk) 18:03, 28 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
