Notes

I am personally acquainted with the subject, and have been to one of his concerts, but I do not know him. Bearian (talk) 23:30, 6 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

I am aware that he's openly gay -- he has referred to a boyfriend in concerts -- but I can not find a reference from a reliable source about that. Bearian (talk) 23:43, 6 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
I am not sure if this [1] counts. Bearian (talk) 23:44, 6 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Is he notable? -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 04:09, 10 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

notability?

edit

All the refs on the page are to reviews of his self-released album. There are no refs that satisfy WP's notability requirements for "significant coverage from multiple, third-party reliable sources". James doesn't currently meet the standards. Unless refs are provided that satisfy WP:N, WP:BIO, or WP:MUSIC, this article will be placed up for PROD or deletion. -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 00:49, 11 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

This musician does meet the standards for notability, from how I read it. "It has been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent from the musician/ensemble itself and reliable." Multiple independent reviews are referenced. That the albums were self-released seems to be of no importance to this guideline. "Has had a charted hit on any national music chart." This is also referenced in the article.--Callmejer (talk) 16:19, 15 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
