Translate titles in references

Hi, future task for anyone interested in bumping up this article's grade: someone should translate the article titles from Chinese to English, and add them in as an extra param (probably something like trans-title) on the ref. toobigtokale (talk) 06:32, 5 May 2023 (UTC)

Name of article

Hi,

Should the article title be the name he used himself in English, as per Wikipedia:UE?

The policy says:

"In deciding whether and how to translate a foreign name into English, follow English-language usage. If there is no established English-language treatment for a name, translate it if this can be done without loss of accuracy and with greater understanding for the English-speaking reader."

In Jin/Kimm's case, we know he wrote his own name in English as "H.T. Kimm"; I haven't found a full spelling out of "H.T." as of yet. Maybe romanize just as "H.T. Kimm"? (edit: found it, see reply)

On the other hand, his name is romanized seemingly exclusively within China, especially at the Tianjin Medical University, as "Jin Xian-zhai", as per [1][2][3].

Here are various pros for each side.

Pro H.T.:

• He has been cited hundreds of times globally for discovering Kimura's disease under the H.T. Kimm name.
• It is the way he chose to spell his name in English

Pro Xianzhai:

• This is the way his name is romanized within China, by other people
• I think there's now an award named after him that's given out, although it may not have an official romanized title. Haven't Baidu'd or Googled properly in Chinese yet
• He is arguably more notable within China than anywhere else for his contributions to medicine in the country.

However, by far the most usages of his name in English are in the context of Kimura's disease. If we follow Wikipedia:UE then I'd argue the H.T. spelling is more correct.

Yoooo after some detective work I found how he spelled his name!!!

He's been cited several hundred times across the world, including in India, Japan, the Philippines, Israel, and elsewhere for Kimura's disease under "H.T. Kimm".

I think with this, I'd argue there's a reasonably strong case that we should rename the page to the English name he chose to use and is known internationally by.
