Large edition to article

edit

This rather lengthy edition to the article needs to be properly sourced so that it can be confirmed as the truth. Also needs to be proof read, have the opinion statements taken out, and be formatted into a more readable way. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rhvanwinkle (talkcontribs) 23:43, 21 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Statue of John Mason

edit

There's now a page for the Statue of John Mason. I see there's content here about the statue, but mostly unsourced. ---Another Believer (Talk) 13:18, 9 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

edit

The last four paragraphs of this section, describing controversies over the John Mason statue and Capitol carving, do not abide by Wikipedia's standard for neutral POV. This section conveys editorial bias (e.g. "unfairly ignoring all of his other honorable contributions as the preeminent founder of the Connecticut Colony.") It also uses unverifiable speculation(e.g. "Once the statue is mentioned in the media it tends to stir up mixed emotions and is susceptible to vandalism and controversy again" and "It was only a matter of time before the John Mason statue was once again splashed with blood red paint." This section should be edited to reflect a neutral POV that meets Wikipedia's standards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by IantheResearcher (talkcontribs) 23:48, 9 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
