Parliamentary vote
editIn his nine years as an MP, Ashworth must have voted hundreds of times, yet only one is mentioned. If this vote had a special significance for him or his career, surely this significance should be stated. Alternatively, should this be deleted from the article? Jontel (talk) 20:00, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
- From his TheyWorkForYou page it looks like he never rebels, so it would be noteworthy if he has voted against the whip. In this case, it was a free vote and Ashworth voted with the leader, but 66 Labour MPs rebelled including half the shadow cabinet, so Ashworth not rebelling might therefore be noteworthy? But if that's the case, might need explaining, which would take up even more words. Maybe the noteworthy thing we should say is that his voting record was utterly loyal to the Corbyn leadership, but it would be best to show this from a secondary source rather than the primary source I've invoked here. - Notable per secondary sources. Besides which it was a contentious vote. Alex (talk) 23:13, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
