Article Issues: Promotional Tone and Notability Concerns
editThe article currently uses promotional language and doesn't fully comply with Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View (NPOV) policy.
I reckon the piece needs a thorough revision to remove the promotional slant and more effectively demonstrate the subject's notability by citing credible sources.
I'm planning to look into the full history and credibility of this article. Maklermak (talk) 21:29, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
Ach, I’ve had a good look at the edit history of this article, and it seems most of the edits are comin’ from IP addresses, blocked sock accounts, or folks openly admitting a conflict of interest. With that in mind, I reckon it’s high time we review the neutrality of the article and make sure it’s up to Wikipedia’s standards. Might be worth takin’ a closer look at the recent changes and havin’ a wee discussion on how to keep the article in good shape goin' forward. I’d like to suss out next which editors have admitted a conflict of interest and who’s still keepin’ quiet about it. Maklermak (talk) 13:56, 16 September 2024 (UTC)( Blocked sockpuppet of Lustigermutiger21, see investigation)- My thought is that if you disagree with the tone of the article, be bold and fix it. Joyous! Noise! 16:45, 16 September 2024 (UTC)
Ah, @Joyous!, I get yer point, but it’s nae just about fixin’ a few lines. The article’s had a long history of edits from conflicted accounts, and I reckon it needs a proper look into its history before makin’ changes. I’ll be bold, aye, but thorough too—we need to set it right for good. Maklermak (talk) 18:02, 16 September 2024 (UTC)( Blocked sockpuppet of Lustigermutiger21, see investigation)

Request to update Justin Sun Intro paragraph
editHello, Justin Sun has recently been elected as Prime Minister of Liberland. Please approve adding the following content: “On October 6, 2024, Sun was elected as one of four new members of Congress to The Free Republic of Liberland. President Vít Jedlička nominated Speaker Sun to serve as the acting Prime Minister of Liberland.” Please refer to the recent Yahoo Finance article regarding this news. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/free-republic-liberland-hosts-first-082445557.html Jessica5566 (talk) 23:11, 16 October 2024 (UTC)
- Liberland is a micronation (a fantasy country) that does not actually control any territory. I think it's significant enough to mention in the body, but it's not important enough to mention in the lead. Hemiauchenia (talk) 23:22, 16 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hello @Hemiauchenia We can include the wording 'micronation' in the published copy and add it at the end. What do you think? Jessica5566 (talk) 05:36, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
About Sun's citizenship/nationality
editMaybe we should add "China" to his citizenship in the infobox. I found a file from the U.S.SEC[1] in which the following sentence is included: Defendant Justin Sun (a/k/a Yuchen Sun), age 32, is a Chinese national and crypto asset entrepreneur (on page 4). "Chinese national" means a person who has Chinese citizenship in official documents. I also found an article from a seemingly kind of unreliable source. [2] I'm not sure whether a representative of Grenada to the WTO must have Grenadian citizenship. If so, considering the prohibition of dual nationality in Chinese law, we'll don't need to add China, and the "citation needed" mark can be removed. But there were reports saying that he had gained citizenship of Malta and Saint Kitts and Nevis through investment.[3] Shall we take this into account? Greencarp (talk) 09:08, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
- Court filings are not adequate sources for a BLP. See WP:BLPPRIMARY. If there aren't good sources for it, then just leave it out for now. – notwally (talk) 18:06, 27 October 2024 (UTC)
