Paul Nahaolelua
editKAVEBEAR We have Paul Nahaolelua on this list, as Minister of Finance Feb-Oct 1874. Should he be on this list? Also, "Peter Nahaolelua" (PDF). digitalcollections.hawaii.gov. shows a "Peter Nahaolelua" as being on the Privy Council April 4, 1853 - Sept 22, 1875. I don't find evidence of a Peter Nahaolelua anywhere else, so far. Could they be referring to Paul? — Maile (talk) 13:10, 12 January 2019 (UTC)
- There is no such person as Peter Nahaolelua. The records got his first name messed up. KAVEBEAR (talk) 14:46, 12 January 2019 (UTC)
@Maile66: With the creation of Moses Kuaea, there are no more red links. Austin and Preston sadly still remain faceless. KAVEBEAR (talk) 22:18, 2 January 2020 (UTC)
- @KAVEBEAR: Well done. — Maile (talk) 23:24, 2 January 2020 (UTC)
Notes section
edit@KAVEBEAR: Please have a look at the Notes section, and edit as you wish. I couldn't think of anything brief to put by Moehanua, Preston or Walker - but there should be something for them. This is generally what I think should be done to the same section in Liliʻuokalani's Cabinet Ministers, but there would be much less - different focus on her years, different personality, etc. If, after we are complete with that column, and you want to take Kalakaua's and Liliuokalani's to FLC, I wouldn't object. Then maybe tackle the two privy councils, much of which has already been done in the notes sections. — Maile (talk) 22:44, 4 January 2020 (UTC)
- BTW, I think you have probably contributed to all these lists as much as I have, since you're the one who dug up much of the resources for all of them. At the very least, FLC could maybe be co-nominations with both our names. Yes? — Maile (talk) 22:52, 4 January 2020 (UTC)
- Done. Now for the waiting game.KAVEBEAR (talk) 01:11, 5 January 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks. — Maile (talk) 01:21, 5 January 2020 (UTC)
About this list
editThis list was developed as a guide to understanding the history of Kalākaua's reign as the last king of Hawaii. The non-sortable table has links to articles on the individuals involved, and when they were in service to the monarchy. At the bottom of the page are navboxes to individual cabinet positions Hawaii. Click on the "show" link, and you will see the kingdom, the provisional government, the Republic of Hawaii, and the state of Hawaii. If you just click on the title of the navbox, it will take you to a separate page complete with a sortable table of those who held that particular office. More related lists can be found under the "See also" section of this list. — Maile (talk) 01:21, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
