Why is this on the front page? This is unimportant. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.86.75.66 (talk) 19:01, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
Dead baby listed in 'satisfactory condition'
editI think the second sentence under 'Incident' should be changed, as the source says that baby is in the hospital in satisfactory condition. Which is not dead. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.242.75.191 (talk) 11:39, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
The word victim is repeatedly used... it should be changed to either casualty or survivor depending on the context - victim implies murder. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.168.119.184 (talk) 23:10, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
Not news
editI have been a loyal follower of Wikipedia for over a year but mainly read. There's a policy that Wikipedia is not news. This article, while nicely written, is news. Therefore, it shouldn't be in Wikipedia.
I must also add that the striken remarks above is very heartless. The event is very tragic and is not "unimportant". It's just not suitable for Wikipedia. WBC (Wikipedia Broadcasting Company) is a different story. Notnews (talk) 23:43, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
- Disasters frequently can get articles. Compare plane crashes, earthquakes, hurricanes, on a slightly different note serial killers.--Prosfilaes (talk) 14:11, 22 November 2012 (UTC)
Casualty numbers
editThere are varying casualty numbers throughout the article. The infobox says 21 died. The lead says 23 people including 13 children died. The article says "Six children were listed as dead". Please resolve this. Thanks. —howcheng {chat} 03:07, 11 April 2020 (UTC)
- @Howcheng - the issue was the lack of confirmation on how many people were in the building as it was used for social services. The correct number is 23, 13 kids. I corrected the infobox and gave explanation on the discrepancy, as well as added more info about the fire itself. Borowiecki.km (talk 22:33, 28 November 2020 (UTC)
