Biased?
editThis article reads like a press release; in fact, major portions are copied verbatim from an industry Website (http://www.kangaroo-industry.asn.au/products/leather_review.htm). The person who created the article claims to have copyright permission, but does not claim that the content is compatible with the GFDL, as Wikipedia requires (right?).
The person who created the article has been contributing to Wikipedia for just 13 days, and nearly all of their work has been in the article on kangaroo meat. Their changes there have spun the article into a marketing piece; they added claims of health and environmental improvements, removed statements that the meat is unpopular, removed references to practices unappealing to Western tastes (e.g., drinking the blood), removed references to its use by aboriginal Australians, and removed references to criticism of the kangaroo industry. They have also made massive multi-paragraph changes and marked them as "minor", and repeatedly undone edits apparently made to remove bias.
I believe this article should be deleted, and perhaps replaced by something built on actual research.

- Firstly I would like to draw your attention to Wikipedia:Please do not bite the newcomers - we were all new to wikipedia once. It is also essential to assume good faith. Certainly this article needs improving, as do many other articles on wikipedia. As to the article on kangaroo meat, some changes have been reverted - ie the removal of references to the eating of kangaroo by aboriginals including the drinking of blood. Other references have been removed by other editors (including me) because they were unreferenced and were in violation of our policy on verifiability and also our policy on no original research. Those policies apply to all articles on wikipedia, these two included.
Anybody is welcome to contribute to wikipedia and to add material - if you wish to add "something built on actual research" - do so.
Whether the release of this copyrighted info complies with GFDL comaptability will be up to the person who reviews the OTRS case. --Matilda talk 21:37, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
