Page name
editShould this be moved to Karataş, İzmir? It's a bit strange that the first name uses the Turkish letters instead of simply being Karatas, while the second doesn't, although the page İzmir uses the İ. K9re11 (talk) 14:02, 10 June 2015 (UTC)

Karataş, Izmir → Karataş, İzmir – undo move contrary to WP Turkey standard MOS practice In ictu oculi (talk) 20:23, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
- Note, "Karataş, Izmir" has been the article's stable name since 2011 [1]. And at that time, discussion was cited as the reason for the change. So the name change was not undiscussed and that, together with the longstanding nature of the current name, means In ictu oculir's request at Technical requests, Requests to revert undiscussed moves is not appropriate. - Support obviously. Tiptoethrutheminefield, I think you might want to take your objection to use of Turkish fonts on en.wp to the WP Turkey project, because this affects every single Turkey-related article. In ictu oculi (talk) 10:05, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
- Your persistent inability to accept good faith and to accuse everyone of some sort of conspiracy against Turkish fonts is becoming tiresome. You brought your name change proposal to the wrong forum. "Technical requests, Requests to revert undiscussed moves" is not for reversing, without discussion, names changes made 6 years earlier! - I'm not accusing "everyone" of anything. As can be seen from any Turkey-related article chosen at random. In ictu oculi (talk) 16:06, 19 March 2017 (UTC)

- Support per WP:CONSISTENCY – as long as the main article is at İzmir and there is Category:İzmir, we should use this form in article titles. No such user (talk) 15:17, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
- Closing comment: See Talk:İzmir#Requested move 3 for a thorough discussion of the more general issue, and a detailed close summary. Andrewa (talk) 03:44, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
