Line 120 - These are much used quotes about the artist and how good he is and hopefully will be replicated right across the internet. Much of this article is a replication of Kevin Figes biography and life with much taken from his own web site including his photographs which he has given me explicit verbal permission to use. Any and all advice is much appreciated particularly regarding wikicommons licences. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Artizmm (talk • contribs) 06:17, 28 February 2012
- Artizmm, I understand that you have Kevin Figes's permission; however, he holds the copyright on his biography and he has to be the one to give us permission. While the facts within are not subject to copyright, their presentation (in terms of language and structure) is. Could you please ask him to check out Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials#Granting us permission to copy material already online to see how to give us permission? In short, either he can either put a small declaration of consent on his Web site or e-mail one to us; either way's easy and I hope he understands we're just trying to protect his rights. :) Do feel free to let me know either on this talk page or my own if you have any questions. Thanks for your help Madman. Can you please change the source of this investigation from (http://www.swanagejazz.org/?p=1243) the swanage jazz festival site who copied the information from Kevin's own site at (http://www.kevinfiges.co.uk) in the mean time I will get Kevin himself to email through his permission to use his own site Granting permission for copy material already online, again thanks for advice ==== — Preceding unsigned comment added by Artizmm (talk • contribs) 23:08, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
- Sure thing. :) — madman 01:54, 1 March 2012 (UTC)
Email confirmation from Kevin Figes has now been sent (02 March 2012 05:23) giving full permission to use his site content on this Wikipedia project. Can all restriction now be lifted to allow further updates and editing please. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.164.197.108 (talk) 12:02, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
