editYingjin Zhang (23 April 2012). A Companion to Chinese Cinema. John Wiley & Sons. pp. 670–. ISBN 978-1-4443-3029-8. gives the dates 1913–1976 (he also repeats the date of death in text on p.46), and this is likely sourced to [1] which clearly states "Lü Ban (orig. Hao Enxing, 1913-1 976), a veteran filmmaker and Communist Party member..." but IMDb [2] has 1907–1968. I was unable to find any other reference to his dates of birth/death, in English sources at least, so for now I am suggest we stick to the academic source instead of IMDb. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 06:38, 30 October 2018 (UTC)
