Lack of capital of Castile and LeónCapital of Castile and LeónWP:NATURAL. The current syntax is a WP:NEOLOGISM, as "lack of capital" refers overwhelmingly to business (capital as in "capitalism") if you google it. The articles in Spanish and Catalan are titled as "Capital of Castile and León". While this is a niche article, I can't imagine anyone searching for it with "Lack of...". The article "Capital of the Netherlands" explains how Amsterdam is the capital while the Hague has all of the arms of government, it does not go for a more complicated name. It is worth remembering that many well-known countries do not have a de jure capital, including Portugal, just as many countries feel no need to declare an official language. Others may have a de jure capital but have the three arms of government spread in different cities, that do not carry an official status of capital. That is the closest to the situation in C&L, where the constitution puts the three things we most associate with a capital - legislature, executive and president - in one city, and various other offices in other cities. Translations

The translations of "las instituciones básicas" and "libros de texto" from the Spanish source texts as "basic bodies" and "textbooks" seem to me to be over-literal translations. I think "primary institutions" is likely to reflect better the meaning behind "las instituciones básicas", but I am less sure about translating "libros de texto": it is unlikely that the Junta would publish a "textbook" ("a comprehensive compilation of content in a branch of study"), but what kind of publications are being referred to in the reference to Valladolid being the capital of the region? - BobKilcoyne (talk) 10:44, 10 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I can answer the second one as I read the source again and it definitely mentions the Ministry of Education and these books being used in schools by students. Education is a devolved matter in Spain and while they were probably not published by the regional government, they were likely bought and placed in classrooms by them, therefore making that something worth apologising for.
