Fictional entities

edit

I removed all fictional entities. There are an endless list of these things, 99% trivial. It seems better to just have none. Yours hopefully, William M. Connolley 18:33, 13 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Too much was removed, in your haste you have even removed the disambig template and the interwiki. In general I am Ok with trimming down the fictional sections, but some like Moby-Dick and Farscape should remain. IMHO a good criterion would be to keep those works in which the Leviathan creature plays a central role in the plot. Eldar 22:42, 13 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
Well I've had another go. I think that its rather hard to decide which to keep: better to get trid of them all William M. Connolley 15:13, 27 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
I've decided that hardness is not a reason not to try, so I tried bringing back some according to the criterion above. I'm confident that if in the future too many not so important entities are brought back, you'll be there to kick them out again. Eldar 23:34, 27 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Non-existing articles

edit

I rm the following entries. Put them back in the dab page when they get a meaningful link:

  • A manga series by Eiji Otsuka and Yu Kinutani
  • A 1960's British psychedelic group that evolved from the Mike Stuart Span
  • The codename of a projected tri-hulled (trimaran) warship

Paul Auster

edit

The link to the Paul Auster title of this name goes to a different authors book of the same title. I don't know how to make a new page, however it would be cool to have that page started and the link corrected! Crocadillion 04:24, 17 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Leviathan melvillei

edit

This DAB page is here people looking for Leviathan find what they are looking for. If they knew that it was called Livyatan melvillei, they wouldn't be here. I'm fine with the overly long explanation because of the special circumstances, but they are here because they are looking for Leviathan melvillei, not Livyatan melvillei, so that is what the blue link should be to.

If you insist that Livyatan melvillei is really, really, the right thing to link to, then it should be in see also, since it is a related term, not Leviathan itself. 018 (talk) 02:26, 27 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
