Talk:Likud Yisrael Beiteinu
"Likud Beiteinu" or "Likud Israel Beiteinu"
editThey handed their final candidates list as "Likud Israel Beiteinu" - but the media often refers to them in short as "Likud Beiteinu". The Hebrew wikipedia changed it to "Likud Israel Beiteinu" since they handed the list this way. Shouldn't we change it here as well? --93.173.171.96 (talk) 22:17, 6 December 2012 (UTC) --Midrashah (talk) 22:17, 6 December 2012 (UTC)
- Maybe we should change this to "Likud Israel Beiteinu", but we should certainly not claim that it is called "Israel Beiteinu", which is one of the parties in this alliance, not the alliance itself. Phil Bridger (talk) 22:25, 6 December 2012 (UTC)
- I mistakenly mentioned it as "Israel Beiteinu" while I meant "Likud Beiteinu". See above where I corrcted it. --93.173.171.96 (talk) 22:26, 6 December 2012 (UTC)--Midrashah (talk) 22:28, 6 December 2012 (UTC)
- They officialy handed they list under "Likud Israel Beiteinu" - today to the central election committee, the "Likud Beiteinu" is only the known short unofficial name in the media, we should consider this. --Midrashah (talk) 22:30, 6 December 2012 (UTC)
- And here is the ref for the full official name 'Likud Israel Beiteinu [1]
I have moved it to Likud Yisrael Beiteinu for consistency with Yisrael Beiteinu. However, I'm not sure we even need this article - we don't have one for the Likud–Tzmoet–Gesher list that contested in 1996, nor for Labor–Meimad that contested several elections as a joint list, and now that the list has the full name of both parties, perhaps we should just link to them individually? - Im inclined to agree. Its a shared list, not a merger yet.--Metallurgist (talk) 10:55, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
- Support either deletion or disambiguation. Not necessary as an article at this point. —Ynhockey (Talk) 11:28, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
- I've prodded the article. I'm not sure whether this is even worth turning into a DAB page. Number 57 13:13, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
- I object removing this article. This is a major-major merge in Israeli politics. --Midrashah (talk) 16:54, 21 December 2012 (UTC)
- As pointed out above, it's not a merger, it's a joint list, and several of these have existed in the past. Number 57 12:09, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
- We have the joint list of "One Israel" article (Labor Party, Meimad and Gesher ). --Midrashah (talk) 13:34, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
- That's because it was impossible to wikilink One Israel to the three parties that formed the alliance. Here all one needs to do is write the two parties' names together. Number 57 20:17, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
- I don't quiet understand your answear. The reason for your objection was the merge/joint list (although these are quiet the same), that we didnt have an article for this before, and I just gave you an axample for this One Israel. --Midrashah (talk) 19:39, 27 December 2012 (UTC) (talk) 19:43, 27 December 2012 (UTC)

ideology
editI am wondering how the parties ideology can be described as "Conservatism, Neo-Zionism, Religious Zionism, Nationalism, Revisionist Zionism, Secularism, Economic liberalism, Russian-speakers' interests". There are a lot of contradictory views here! They cannot all be applicable to the party203.184.41.226 (talk) 22:15, 1 June 2013 (UTC)
