this should be split between first and second

agreed. They should also be ordered by state since the category Category:Continental Congressmen already lists them in alphabetical order. BradMajors (talk) 21:33, 23 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Done. We now have all of the above, thanks to sortable lists, and a separate list at First Continental Congress. —Kevin Myers 22:52, 22 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

It is not clear to me what the X and - mean. Does either mean the person voted no, or wasn't there to vote? Please make this more obvious.69.181.102.166 (talk) 01:12, 21 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

The X is explained in the text. Did you miss that, or was the explanation unclear? —Kevin Myers 06:53, 21 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Re: Alexander Martin

edit

I've been working on cleaning up the (godawful) Alexander Martin article this morning, when I noted that he's listed on this page (which I adore and use frequently) as having been "elected, but did not attend." I'm sure your sourcing for this is fairly impeccable, but I think some confusion may have been caused in Martin's case. Several sources I have state that Martin was elected, and attended from May 25 to about August 20, but left before the signing of the Constitution. Sources I'm using for this include:

In the interests of clarifying this, I've been bold, and added Martin to the list of delegates who attended. I'd appreciate any comment anyone may have about this issue, and as always, I'm open to discussing any sources that contradict those above. Cdtew (talk) 14:32, 7 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

P.S.: Diff is here.
It seems you may have confused attending the Continental Congress with attending the Constitutional Convention. Martin attended the latter but I don't see any evidence that he took his seat in the former. —Kevin Myers 04:41, 8 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
Oh how embarrassing. I misread the source entirely. No confusion on my part; i know better, i just wasn't thinking. All that work done, down the drain because I was editing at work and not paying attention. Reverted, mea culpa. Cdtew (talk) 05:06, 8 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
No problem, I've had similar brain farts. —Kevin Myers 05:18, 8 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Edward Telfair

edit

The article on Edward Telfair mentions that he served in the Continental Congress, however this list of delegates does not include him. Which is true? Elsquared (talk) 05:19, 3 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

He did serve. Checking the page history, he was previously listed here but was omitted, presumably accidentally, when someone reformatted the page. Thanks for pointing out the error. Hopefully I've fixed it correctly. Kevin1776 (talk) 08:40, 3 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
